If you’ve lived in Queen’s Park for any length of time, you will have taken a walk up the pretty Lonsdale Road and no doubt seen Yogaloft – or even tried one of their  light filled yoga classes.

Founder Susannah Tomkins, an Iyengar yoga practitioner and teacher, opened its doors back in 2012, and since then it’s become a central hub of the community with a loyal local following.  So much so that news of a second Queen’s Park based studio will no doubt come as welcome news.

Yogaloft Beethoven St is housed in a former warehouse building, just off Kilburn Lane.  Ian, co-owner and vinyasa flow enthusiast (who also happens to own a yoga retreat in West France), told us he knew it was the perfect building for their practice as soon as he set foot inside, and along with the team, jumped at the chance to transform it.

We were lucky enough to have had a sneak preview and were really impressed by the high ceilings and natural light gracing the 3 yoga studios and reformer pilates room.  Not to mention the plentiful plants, holistic therapy suite and sweet cafe – it’s a very calming place.

“Every single visitor says the same thing”, says Ian, “you suddenly find yourself in this spectacular, light- and air-filled oasis which seems to expand in every direction”.

Yogaloft Beethoven St retains the local feel that Yogaloft is known and loved for. The pair have led every step of the refurbishment themselves with the same passion and attention to detail as Yogaloft Lonsdale Rd.

Between the two sites there are now more than 150 classes every week to choose from taught by carefully selected, skilful and inspirational teachers.  In addition, you’ll find holistic therapies to nurture and heal body and mind, and a welcoming café where you can sit by the green living wall, enjoy a smoothie and simply enjoy the space.

What’s more, you can find a host of beautiful clothing brands at both the studios – including Be Here & Love, Pepper & Mayne, Ohmme & Carrot Banana Peach.

To celebrate the grand opening, Yogaloft is holding a special launch event with a DAY OF FREE YOGA & PILATES CLASSES, DRINKS AND STUDIO TOURS on Sunday 8th September, 2019.
